Well tomorrow is my first go at kingfisher diving. Its been feeding now for a week so another supply of fish in the morning should help me on my way getting the shots i need. In the mean time i have been short listed for the wildlife extra uk wildlife photography comp with the image you see below. Please visit http://www.wildlifeextra.com/ for the judges comments

A day Photographing Goshawks

Weather can be a killer making great photographgs in to poor ones. In this case the weather although dull helped keep the tones natural and real. I love the raw feel to the images taken in a dark wood in the peaks. Taken at a high ISO to capture this stunning bird also provides a grainy
finish which i feel helps set off the images.
